Welcome to the NNGHC

And welcome to the web site of the Northern Nevada Gaited Horse Club. If you have any comments we would appreciate the input.Also any members that would like to submit items including photos, please contact the web site manager. NNGHC is also a recognized club with the American Trail Trials Association and North American Peruvian Horse Association.

Purpose:

To provide a forum for members to further their interest in and enjoyment of gaited horses. The club will sponsor educational activities to encourage good horsemanship, sportsmanship, and safety. It will organize competitive events, trail rides, clinics, and other events to foster friendship among riders of gaited horses. Furthermore, the club will be a source of information to the public about the talents, versatility, and capabilities of each gaited breed and may provide demonstrations of the various gaits at horse shows and parades. The club does not support or condone any inhumane practices against gaited horses, nor does it support or condone any events which allow said practices.

THE NEXT GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING WILL BE HELD WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 22, 2010 AT ROUND TABLE PIZZA, 185 DAMONTE RANCH PARKWAY, RENO NV. DINNER IS AT 6:00 P.M. AND THE MEETING STARTS AT 7:00 P.M. WE WILL BE DISCUSSING AMONG OTHER THINGS THE SEPTEMBER 25-26 SHOW AND WE WILL BE NOMINATING OFFICERS FOR THE 2011 BOARD OF DIRECTORS. ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND. SEPTEMBER 25 - 26, 2010 - NNGHC CLASSIC ALL GAITED BREED HORSE SHOW

.The NNGHC will be hosting this ALL-GAITED BREED SHOW the last weekend of September. The show will be sanctioned by NAPHA, and FOSH. We will have classes for PP, PF,SSH,MH, TWH, MFT and numerous OGB classes. Our judges are Debbie Rash ( FOSH )and Shawna Bloom ( NAPHA ). JULY 10, 2010 - NNGHC SUMMER OPEN BREED SCHOLLING SHOW

THIS SHOW WAS A HUGE SUCCESS. THANKS GO OUT TO SUE DAVIS AND HER TEAM OF VOLUNTEERS FOR PUTTING THIS TOGETHER. AND THANKS TO ALL THE PARTICIPANTS THAT CAME OUT AND SUPPORTED THIS EVENT. LOOK FOR THE RETURN OF THIS ANNUAL EVENT IN 2011.

OCTOBER 23 - 24, 2010 - NCWHA OCTOBERFEST HORSE SHOW

Held at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa CA. This is the only TWH show in California which qualifies for the Northwest Regional High Point Awards.
