Welcome to the NNGHC

And welcome to the web site of the Northern Nevada Gaited Horse Club. If you have any comments we would appreciate the input.Also any members that would like to submit items including photos, please contact the web site manager. NNGHC is also a recognized club with the American Trail Trials Association , Western International Walking Horse Association and North American Peruvian Horse Association.

Purpose:

To provide a forum for members to further their interest in and enjoyment of gaited horses. The club will sponsor educational activities to encourage good horsemanship, sportsmanship, and safety. It will organize completive events, trail rides, clinics, and other events to foster friendship among riders of gaited horses. Furthermore, the club will be a source of information to the public about the talents, versatility, and capabilities of each gaited breed and may provide demonstrations of the various gaits at horse shows and parades. The club does not support or condone any inhumane practices against gaited horses, nor does it support or condone any events which allow said practices.

THE NEXT GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING WILL BE HELD SATURDAY MAY17TH, 2008 AT WASHOE LAKE STATE PARK . THIS WILL ALSO BE A CLUB RIDE AND POTLUCK. RIDE OUT AT 11:00 A.M WITH LUNCH AROUND 1:00 P.M. JULY 13, 2008 - NNGHC OPEN BREED HORSE SHOW AND FUN DAY

NNGHC will be hosting an open breed show at ROCKIN LJ ARENA in Washoe Valley on Sunday July 13th 2008. Registration starts at 7:00 a.m. Show starts at 8:00 a.m until complete. The judge will be Feather Blake. Ribbons and points awarded for 1 - 6 place. For complete details go to the events page of this site and click on the link for the annual show.
