Welcome to the NNGHC

And welcome to the web site of the Northern Nevada Gaited Horse Club. If you have any comments we would appreciate the input.Also any members that would like to submit items including photos, please contact the web site manager. NNGHC is also a recognized club with the American Trail Trials Association and North American Peruvian Horse Association.

Purpose:

To provide a forum for members to further their interest in and enjoyment of gaited horses. The club will sponsor educational activities to encourage good horsemanship, sportsmanship, and safety. It will organize competitive events, trail rides, clinics, and other events to foster friendship among riders of gaited horses. Furthermore, the club will be a source of information to the public about the talents, versatility, and capabilities of each gaited breed and may provide demonstrations of the various gaits at horse shows and parades. The club does not support or condone any inhumane practices against gaited horses, nor does it support or condone any events which allow said practices.

THE NEXT GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING WILL BE HELD WEDNESDAY JULY 15th, 2009, AT MICASA TOO RESTARAUNT IN CARSON CITY NV. WE WILL PROVIDING UPDATES ON UPCOMING EVENTS INCLUDING THE JULY PLAYDAY SHOW AND THE SEPTEMBER 2-DAY SHOW. DINNER WILL BE AT 6:00 P.M. AND THE MEETING WILL START AT 7:00 P.M. . SEPTEMBER 12 - 13, 2009 - NNGHC CLASSIC ALL GAITED BREED HORSE SHOW

.NNGHC is pleased to announce the return of their annual CLASSIC ALL GAITED BREED SHOW. The show date is September 12 - 13 , 2009 at the CARSON CITY FAIRGROUNDS located at 601 Old Clear Creek Rd. in Carson City NV. . This will be a sanctioned show for NAPHA, UMH, AND FOSH..There will classes for Peruvian Paso Horses, Mountain Horses, Tennessee Walking Horses, Missouri FoxTrotters, Spotted Saddle Horses and Paso Fino Horses . JULY 18, 2009 - .NNGHC PLAYDAY / SCHOOLING SHOW

This event will be held at the ROCKIN L J ARENA in Washoe Valley, NV. This is an open breed show any and all horses are invited to attend. A variety of classes will be offered. This a great opportunity to tune up for an upcoming show or just to see what the show enviroment has to offer for you and your horse. JULY31 - AUGUST 2, 2009 - 2009 COLORADO CELEBRATION AND NWHA REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW

This show is sponsered by the Tennessee Walking Horse Association of Colorado. It will have classes for TWH, Mountain Horses, Peruvian Pasos and lots of Open Gaited Breed classes. Show is held in Denver CO at the National Western Events Complex. This is a huge indoor facility with indoor stalls and A/C.
