About The Northern Nevada Gaited Horse Club

The NNGHC is comprised of a group of people of various ages and backgrounds who have a common interest. That is our soft gaited horses. W e enjoy a wide variety of activities with each other and our horses. The club sponsors numerous group trail rides through out the year. We are fortunate in N. Nevada to have plenty of sunshine and a wide variety of locations to ride. The club also will hold clinics from time to time on a any horse related topic that someone wants to bring to the membership. The Club also will put on a show at date and location to be announced.

We welcome any one who loves horses to join our club. Remember there are two kinds of people in the world. Horse lovers and the other kind.

minutes from SEPTEMBER 16th meeting ...............

 

Present at the meeting were Jim and Barbara Alexander, Abe and Holly Carson, Joan Olsen, Sue Davis, Sarah Dockins, Suzanne Dorrance, Marti Deputy, Samantha Deputy, AND Peggy Lallement.

Metting was called to order at 7:15 p.m. by Jim Alexander, Treasurer.

First on the agenda was the September 12-13 horse show. The show did not make money. We had excellent feedback from the judges and all of the participants. Everyone had a great time. The new facility was wonderful ! Ed Ogg and Jim Alexander are already hard at work making plans for next years show. The date will be changed so as not to conflict with any other shows coming up. We are looking at the last weekend in September, the 25-27 2010. We are looking forward to next year !

There will be a change to the November meeting. The meeting will be held on Sunday November 15. 2009 at the round table pizza , located at 185 DAMONTE RANCH PARKWAY, RENO NV. Dinner is at 6:00 p.m. and the meting starts at 7:00 p.m. We will be counting the ballots for the 2010 officers.

Treasures Report was given by Jim Alexander. Our Wells Fargo CD is $8,00. Our Checking account is $ 3,255.84 for atotal of $11,255.84. This does not included a $400 return deposit from Carson City Parks and Recreation for the deposit on the Fairgrounds.

Sarah Dockins was present to give an update on the TRAIL TRIALS the club is holding on Saturday October 3rd . We have Abe and Holly Carson, Sue Davis, Joan Olsen, Claudia Taras, Teacia and Greg Irwin and Sarah Dockins volunteering from NNGHC . The 1st Nevada Cavalry will also be helping us with putting on the TRAIL TRIALS. We will be splitting the proceeds 50/50 with them.

Samantha Deputy was present togive a Tral Ride Report. No rides have been scheuled. There was some interest in doing a fall ride , but no dates were set. A few of the members showed up to the Memorial Day ride in Virginia City. Everyone had a really good time.
