PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE MAY 2008.................

Greetings Horse Lovers, I hope all of you have been able to get out and ride. We have had some pretty good riding weather lately and before you know it the summer heat will be here.

The plans for our July show are well under way. For complete information go to the events page of this site and click on the link for our annual show. You can download copies of the class schedule and entry form from there. This is a really fun event and hope all members will try to attend.

Coming up in June is the Western States Horse Expo in Sacramento. This is terrific event for horse lovers. A full line up of clinicians and demonstations. Along with the largest tack and equipment sale any where. I have been several times and it is always a fun time.

We still need a trail ride for June and July. So if anyone has an idea or would like to sponser a ride please contact Samantha Deputy or Teresa Jarrett.

On a personal note, I have been working with my wife's SSH to improve his phyisical condition. He suffers from a stifle condition which has limited his activities. We have been able to stablize his disease with diet and vitamins so this season I started ponying him with my horse a few times a week and his phisical and mental condition has shown improvement. I am hoping to bring him to the club ride at Washoe Lake. We will see

Our next meeting is Saturday May 17th, which will also be a trail ride and potluck picnic. I hope to see all of our members there.
